Please use the form below to apply to be a member of the Clackamas Fire Honor Guard.

Requirements:

  • A career firefighter with over 1 year experience working with Clackamas Fire and is off their first year of probation or
  • A suppression or support volunteer firefighter with over 1 year experience volunteering with Clackamas Fire and off their first year of probation
  • Able to perform the duties of an Honor Guard team member including, but not limited to:
    • Standing in one place, unassisted, for long periods of time
    • Able to march with a team in cadence
    • Able to carry and present a flag or axe in a prescribed manner
    • Able to assist in carrying heavy objects (ex: casket)

Preferred:

  • Experience on an honor/color guard
  • Previous military experience
  • Experience marching or a in a position where timing and cadence were practiced
